About the Job

You’ll be helping us design, build, and deploy a next-generation software platform from the ground up. The team is small which means your contributions will have a big impact on the success of the company. You will work across the full-stack from back-end to front-end. Design, build, test and deploy features that you own.

Technology

We currently deploy to the jvm using java based spring-boot applications. Single page react.js applications consume well designed REST APIs. We have our eye on Graphql for next-generation projects. Passionate about other frameworks? Perfect! Show us how you can make awesome products.

About You:

We're looking for an independent problem-solver who values learning, keeps current on technology trends, and enjoys the accountability that is expected from early-stage team members. The ideal candidate:

• will enjoy coding at all layers in a web application stack

• will be fluent in modern web application frameworks and design

• will understand how great UX contributes to customer acquisition and retention

• will be excited about building systems using a log oriented, event-driven architecture

• will learn whatever is necessary to get the job done

• will have a passion for data driven improvements and optimization

• will write clean, elegant, simple, testable code

• will commit often, perfect later, publish once

• will want to work with others who do the same

Qualifications (the more the better)

• A degree in Computer Science OR equivalent experience

• More than 7+ years experience deploying high quality, modern web applications

• Have used JavaScript view frameworks like React, Om, Riot, Backbone, Ember, Angular in a production capacity

• Experience designing and building REST JSON APIs

• Experience working with large datasets, multiple data streams, and data visualization

• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational datastores

• Experience working in a fast paced startup environment

• Familiarity deploying using AWS, Docker, microservice, reacjs, Chef, etc.
